Evodince AI Policy
Last updated: April, 2025
The Evodince GmbH AI Policy policy outlines how we use AI in our editorial and operational workflows, in compliance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679), and the Austrian Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz – DSG).
No Fully Automated Content
Evodince does not use AI to create or distribute fully automated or unsupervised content. All published editorial material—including Evodince newsletters, branded newsletters we produce for clients—is developed and approved by human editors before release.
We do not rely on AI-generated outputs without direct human review, contextual judgment, and editorial oversight.
Where We Use AI
We use AI models and similar tools to assist—not replace—human editorial processes. These models and tools may be used to:
Support background research and general information discovery
Summarize and analyze large volumes of non-reader related data
Provide editing and proofreading for outputs and analyses
Conduct anonymized or aggregate analysis of reader engagement
Assist with translation of multilingual content
Assist and enhance internal production workflows
In all cases, the final output is shaped and signed off by human editors. AI suggestions are treated as recommendations, not final decisions.
Legal Basis and Compliance
Our use of AI is governed by the following legal frameworks:
EU Artificial Intelligence Act (expected to take full effect in 2025)
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — Regulation (EU) 2016/679
Austrian Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz – DSG)
To that end, we ensure that:
All AI systems we use are sourced from GDPR-compliant and legally authorized providers.
AI tools are only used in low-risk, non-decision-making contexts as defined under the EU AI Act.
Any data processed by or through AI tools remains anonymized or aggregated, unless otherwise covered by explicit consent and documented legal basis.
Clear human oversight is present throughout all content creation and analysis workflows.
No AI Decision-Making About Individuals
Evodince does not use AI to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. We do not use AI for profiling, automated targeting, behavioral prediction, or content personalization tied to individual identities.
Transparency and Labeling
Where AI substantially encompasses specific outputs—such as summaries, research-assisted insights, or formatting—we will disclose this where appropriate within the product or publication.
Our goal is to maintain transparency without compromising clarity or user experience.
Policy Updates and Contact
As AI technology and regulatory frameworks in the European Union and other jurisdictions evolve, we will continue to update this policy accordingly.
